Welcome to Genealogy Texts

The goal of our site is to bring you the most comprehensive set of genealogy resources available for free on the Internet. Currently, these resources are scattered across thousands of websites and it is nearly impossible for you to find the content you need. This is a monumental task but we are taking it one step at a time. We are going by state, beginning with Pennsylvania. We are hoping to add one state per week until we are fully up and running. We would sincerely encourage you to suggest links in the comment boxes if you find something we missed. Help us to bring these wonderful texts to everyone!

Our Sources

We try to use the Internet Archive when possible because it is the largest body of Public Domain material online and it indexes several other sources. We are also going to be using Google Books and MSN as well. Whenever possible, we try to find local sites for sources to build on the work of so many others trying to aggregate this data.

How can I help?

The best way for you to help is to link to us from your own websites. Every link you give us increases our exposure in the search engines. If you do not have a website, email links to friends and family trying to find this material. Link it on facebook and twitter if it is interesting enough.
